Fredric G. Heidemann
Fredric G. Heidemann joined Thrun Law Firm, P.C. in 2012 after graduating magna cum laude from the Michigan State University College of Law, where he was a scholarship recipient and Managing Editor of the MSU Law Review. He graduated with a B.A., with honors, from the University of Michigan in 2009.
In his practice, Fredric primarily serves public entities in financial, transactional, commercial, and construction law matters. In public finance, he serves as counsel to school districts and municipalities issuing bonds, notes, installment purchase contracts, and equipment leases. He also advises and serves as underwriter’s counsel to investment banks underwriting the issuance of municipal securities. Fredric frequently drafts vendor, service, and construction contracts and, with overlapping litigation skills, represents clients in related disputes. He also represents clients in tax, zoning, and permit issues as well as regularly advising school districts and municipalities on the Open Meetings Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and general board or organizational matters.
Fredric is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association (State and Local Government, Business Law, and Forum on Construction Law sections), the Ingham County Bar Association, the American Inns of Court, the National Association of Bond Lawyers, and the Michigan and National Councils of School Attorneys.
A native of East Lansing, Fredric continues to live in the area with his wife. His hobbies include building furniture, trial and error home improvement, and almost anything outdoors. He and his wife are parishioners at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where they are both active in charitable organizations.
